The City of Albuquerque has an ambitious goal to plant 100,000 new trees over the next 10 years—one tree for every child in the City! Healthy trees in an urban setting are so beneficial. In addition to shading and cooling homes, offices and streets, trees also provide air and water cleaning services, reduce stress and increase wellbeing, and offer home and food to all kinds of wildlife.
The City will partner with various local organizations, such as Tree NM, The Nature Conservancy, Neighborhood Associations, civic and religious organizations, and others, to plant trees all over town, while emphasizing areas with the least tree canopy cover. Thank you for your generous donation which will allow Parks and Recreation to plant more trees in our beautiful city. For more information please contact urbanforestry@cabq.gov.
